"a tape for Gil." is a hip-hop instrumental project based on, and dedicated to Gil Scott-Heron's music and legacy. Standing at 11 tracks long, the project represents both the emotion and tone that was ever present in his music. Each track draws on samples from Gil's catalogue, and includes several audio clips of his poetry, words and interviews.
